Can children enjoy hibachi at Jinbeh?
Yes, children love hibachi at Jinbeh, and we are one of the most kid-friendly hibachi restaurants in Frisco and Lewisville. The chef's performance, knife tricks, egg toss, onion volcano, fire, is engaging across all ages, and kids regularly walk out asking when they can come back. Our kids menu includes scaled-down hibachi entrées (chicken, shrimp, steak), chicken teriyaki, shrimp tempura, California rolls, and fried rice as a standalone entrée. High chairs and booster seats are available. For very young kids who might be startled by the flames, ask to be seated at a regular dining table instead of the hibachi grill, or sit slightly farther from the chef. Birthday parties for kids are one of our most common bookings.
Hibachi works for kids because it solves a fundamental dining problem with children: keeping them engaged for an hour. The chef's show breaks the meal into bite-sized moments of entertainment, which is far more effective than waiting for food at a regular table. Our chefs are practiced with kids and adjust their show accordingly, toned-down flames for the very young, bigger tricks for kids who can handle it. For kids who are nervous about fire, sit at the end of the table away from the grill, or book a regular dining table with sushi and cooked entrées. The egg toss is the universal kid-favorite trick. Bring a camera; the photos and reactions are worth it.
