What's the difference between Jinbeh Frisco and Lewisville?

Jinbeh Frisco and Jinbeh Lewisville share the same family ownership, menu, recipes, and standards, but they are two physically separate restaurants with a few real differences. Frisco is at 2693 Preston Road near Stonebriar Centre and Toyota Stadium and uses gas-powered hibachi grills. Lewisville is at 2440 S Stemmons Freeway near Vista Ridge Mall and uses electric hibachi grills. Frisco trends slightly busier for dinner and weekends; Lewisville is often easier for last-minute reservations. Both have full bars, sushi bars, hibachi tables, and ample parking. Pick whichever location is closer or has the time slot you need on OpenTable.

Gas versus electric hibachi grills is a subtle but real difference. Gas grills heat faster, recover heat more quickly between proteins, and produce slightly more dramatic flame effects during the show, guests who grew up on classic Benihana-style hibachi often prefer the Frisco experience. Electric grills (Lewisville) provide a more even, consistent heat and are easier to keep at precise temperatures. Both styles produce excellent food; experienced chefs adjust their technique to the equipment. OpenTable reviews give Lewisville a slight edge (4.7 vs 4.6 stars), but both locations are well above DFW average. If you live between the two, your choice often comes down to traffic, parking, and which side of the metroplex you are on that evening.
