Can I sit at the sushi bar at Jinbeh?
Yes, both Jinbeh locations have full sushi bar seating where you can watch our sushi chefs work and order directly from them. Sushi bar seats are popular for solo diners, couples, sushi-focused meals, and guests who want a quieter alternative to the hibachi tables. The full menu is available at the sushi bar, sushi, hibachi entrΓ©es, ramen, sake, and the full bar, so you do not have to limit yourself to just sushi. Sushi bar seats are first-come or reservable through OpenTable. They are often easier to get than hibachi tables on busy weekend nights. Sit at the bar, ask the sushi chef what is fresh that day, and pair with a glass of sake or Japanese whisky.
The sushi bar is one of our favorite seats in the restaurant. You watch the chefs work, ask questions, and often discover off-menu cuts or seasonal specials that do not appear on the printed menu. Solo diners feel comfortable at the bar in a way that solo hibachi seating does not always allow. Couples on date night get more intimacy at the bar than at a communal hibachi table. The bar seat is also great for guests who want sushi as their primary meal, direct chef interaction means you get exactly what you want, made to your spec. Custom rolls, modifications, and omakase-style chef-choice progressions all work better at the bar than from a dining table.
