Does Jinbeh have gluten-free options?
Yes, Jinbeh has gluten-free options at both Frisco and Lewisville locations. Hibachi proteins (chicken, steak, shrimp, scallops, salmon, filet mignon) can be cooked gluten-free using gluten-free tamari instead of regular soy sauce, just inform your server and hibachi chef before the chef starts cooking. Sushi options like sashimi, nigiri, and many basic rolls can be made gluten-free as long as you skip soy sauce or request gluten-free tamari. Fried rice contains soy sauce and is not gluten-free as standard; we can substitute steamed white rice. Tempura, teriyaki, and most sauces contain wheat. Always tell us about gluten sensitivity or celiac at the beginning of the meal so we can take cross-contamination precautions on the grill.
Celiac-level gluten sensitivity requires extra care because hibachi grills are shared surfaces. If you have celiac disease (not just gluten sensitivity), tell your server when you sit down, we can clean the grill surface, use a separate spatula, and cook your protein in a dedicated area. Gluten-free tamari is available on request as a soy sauce substitute. Mustard sauce and ginger sauce are typically gluten-free; check current ingredient lists with your server. Yum yum sauce may contain trace gluten depending on the soy sauce used. Our sushi chefs can build gluten-free rolls with no tempura, no fried fillings, and no flavored cream cheese, ask for the simplest preparations.
