Does Jinbeh have vegetarian options?

Yes, Jinbeh has vegetarian options at both Frisco and Lewisville locations. The vegetarian hibachi entrée includes hibachi vegetables (zucchini, onion, mushroom, bell pepper) and tofu cooked on the grill alongside fried rice. The full hibachi experience, chef performance, onion volcano, sauces, is available vegetarian. Sushi vegetarian options include cucumber rolls, avocado rolls, vegetable rolls, sweet potato tempura rolls, and inari (tofu skin). Sides like edamame, miso soup, seaweed salad, vegetable tempura, and gyoza (vegetable version) round out the vegetarian menu. Inform your server of vegetarian preferences so they can flag sauces and stocks that may contain fish (like bonito-based dashi in miso soup).

Hibachi is naturally accommodating to vegetarians because the chef cooks each protein separately on the grill. Vegetable hibachi gets the same fried rice, vegetables, soup, salad, and sauces as a chicken or steak hibachi, minus the meat. Tofu can be added for protein. If you are dining with non-vegetarians at the same hibachi table, no problem: the chef simply cooks vegetable portions on one side of the grill. For strict vegetarians who avoid fish-derived ingredients, note that traditional miso soup uses dashi (bonito-based stock); ask for vegetable broth substitution if available. Sushi rice itself is typically vegetarian. Sauces vary, yum yum and mustard sauce are typically vegetarian; check with your server.
